Leverage Your Strengths

Last night I fell asleep with a cramp in my abdomen and quite a bit of disappointment in my decisions. I spent yesterday eating pizza for lunch, pizza for snack and pizza for dinner. And this came at the end of 3 weeks of no dairy, no gluten and no sugar. Hence the rebellion in my belly. 

 

This morning, I woke up with the same disappointment and cramp in my belly. I was tempted to hit the mental self destruct button, but my inner wellness coach kicked in.  What would Coach Amy say?

 

Focus on your strengths. What do you do well? We all have something.

 

So I dug deep. When it comes to nutrition; I am good at cooking healthy meals and making a plan. So I started planning the day’s meals:

 

Breakfast – Brussel sprouts and turkey bacon

Snack – Macadamia nuts and apple

Lunch – Spinach salad with smoked salmon, sunflower seeds, red onion & lemon vinaigrette

Snack – Walnuts and Avocado

Dinner – Chicken and Asparagus on the grill

 

I am 100% confident that I can cook this today. I am also pretty confident that I will go to bed and wake up tomorrow morning happier with my decisions.
